Aarupvej, Hedensted
This newly built daycare center in Hedensted, designed by GPP Arkitekter, accommodates up to 140 children. The architecture draws inspiration from the rural surroundings, with a focus on creating playful and stimulating learning environments for children of all ages.
A large portion of the interior walls is clad with acoustic panels in peeled pine—some finished with a light white-pigmented matte lacquer, others in a warm, deep green tone.
The natural wood texture brings a sense of nature indoors, while the green panels provide a warm contrast to the otherwise light materials. To ensure good acoustics in active play areas, the panels are perforated and mounted on insulation.
