Wooden Walls Create Cohesion

The hotel has an international appeal, but the interior is distinctly Nordic thanks to the consistent use of wood. Throughout the entrance level—including the foyer, elevators, and restaurants—vertical oak slats cover the interior wall surfaces. The same cladding continues along the hotel’s core from the basement to the 19th floor. By following the inner wall cladding, guests are naturally guided through the building. The direction of the slats emphasizes the hotel’s sky-reaching architecture while also creating a sense of intimacy through their texture and warmth. The slats are slightly staggered, giving the surface a lively yet cohesive expression. At the entrance to the spa area and the transition to the hotel, a similar slatted wall design is used, creating a welcoming and refined atmosphere.
