Orienthuset, Trælastholmen
An office building located in the new district of Nordhavn, also known as Trælastholmen.
Located in Copenhagen’s Nordhavn district, Orienthuset is a striking timber building that blends modern architecture with natural materials. Acoustic panels in oak veneer were used throughout the interior to create a warm and inviting atmosphere while ensuring excellent sound absorption.
The panels are fire-retardant treated and finished with a water-based, fire-neutral coating, and can be tinted in various shades. This project highlights how acoustic solutions can enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of contemporary wooden architecture.
