Stjernegården – A Daycare Center Designed for Children

The new daycare center Stjernegården next to Vallensbæk School is now filled with life and children’s voices. The building spans two floors and accommodates just over 100 children, blending naturally into the charming village-like setting created by the school’s red brick buildings.
To harmonize with its surroundings, the daycare was built using classic, durable materials that complement the existing architecture.

Inside, every detail is designed with children in mind – both functionally and aesthetically. Perforated acoustic panels in peeled pine ensure excellent sound quality and support a creative environment. The color scheme plays a key role, featuring toned panels in dark green, blue, and light-pigmented wood, all with matte finishes that highlight the warm wood texture and create a sense of calm and well-being.
The result is a daycare where architecture, acoustics, and colors come together to create a welcoming space for both children and adults.
