At the new Town Hall in Horsens, acoustic panels in oak veneer have been used in the council chamber to create a stylish and harmonious space. As part of a larger relocation of Campus Horsens, the City Council decided in March 2017 to move the Town Hall, making room to consolidate the campus in the city center, directly across from the train station.

The Town Hall facilities were relocated to Campus’ existing buildings on Chr. M. Østergaards Vej, with the ambition to create a modern workplace that supports today’s working methods, where knowledge sharing and interaction are central to everyday life.

In the spacious and elegant council chamber, acoustic panels have been installed across one entire wall. This serves both to soften the contrast with the white surfaces and to bring warmth and calm to the room, while also ensuring good acoustics in a space where many people gather. The wall features perforated oak panels in varying formats, creating a dynamic visual rhythm that almost resembles an artistic installation.
