A Harmonious Blend of Architecture and Acoustics

The WSP headquarters (formerly Orbicon), completed in 2017, was developed by DISSING+WEITLING ARCHITECTURE in close collaboration with WSP. This impressive building welcomes visitors with a large, open atrium that clearly stands out as the heart of the structure. The atrium provides space for informal meetings while offering a beautiful view upward through the building and into the various floors that house workstations and meeting rooms.

The interior walls are clad with perforated panels in ash veneer, and as a striking contrast, certain walls feature specially designed plywood slats that run throughout the building. It is a large space that often accommodates many people. Thanks to the choice of materials, the acoustics have been remarkably refined, with the panels and slats playing a key role. The elegant staircase, which sculpturally adorns the atrium, is also clad in ash veneer panels.
